So, I've started to venture into something new, yet old at the same time. I feel like I'm moving backward in trying to create interesting images--this time going from using a plastic lens to using no lens at all.
I bought a pinhole to use with my 545 back. I'm so utterly and completely in love with polaroids. They really encapsulate the essence of an instant photographic moment. I mean, there is your print, you're holding it in your hands after you've literally just pressed the button. Amazing. There are far more metaphorical meanings to why I enjoy polaroids, but let's not get me too analytical on this late friday afternoon (these times are meant for being lazy, having a beer and letting your mind drift away from all that you've accomplished (or haven't) during the entire week).
Anyways, I have to be extremely selective with working the pinhole. It's damn near impossible to calculate the perfect exposure times for these things and not bust 20 sheets of film. The pack (25) cost me over 80 bucks and I'll be damn if I'm going to waste it all doing shitty pictures around my apartment. SO, try to be patient for my new work. I'd like to get out and revisit some places and really make some cool stuff. Stay tuned
